Angie Ryg

Angie Ryg is a blogger, Bible teacher, writer, and international speaker whose passion is encouraging women to find contentment and purpose right where God has placed them. She reaches out to her community with a sense of humor and a willingness to be open with her struggles. Once feeling stuck having to work, she now finds joy in teaching and mentoring middle school students in English and literature and speaking to women’s groups around the country.

Angie is the author of Clutter Free Simplicity. You can also find her words in the (in)courage Women’s Devotional Bible and Everbloom: Stories of Deeply Rooted and Transformed Lives. She has been published by Christianity Today, (in)courage, Family Matters, and is a contributing writer for Unlocking the Bible.

Angie has always loved writing and decided she wanted to teach writing while attending Wheaton College and National Louis University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction.  Angie was awarded Miss Congeniality for Miss Teen Illinois and was nominated for Disney’s Teacher of the Year. Angie’s desire is to be known as a woman who loves Jesus, and if the laundry is also finished, that is just a bonus.

Angie lives just outside of Chicago, Illinois, with her husband, their four kids, and the sweetest answered prayer, a little Shihpoo named Maddie. As a family, they love to go on adventures, play games, watch movies, and rewatch The Gilmore Girls as much as possible.
