Kate Motaung

Kate Motaung grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan before spending ten years in Cape Town, South Africa. She and her South African husband have three children. She has degrees in Bible, theology, and cross-cultural missions from Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and an Honours degree from the Bible Institute of South Africa.

She loves writing creative nonfiction and memoir, including her debut A Place to Land: A Story of Longing and Belonging (Our Daily Bread Publishing 2018). She is also the author of Start-up Guide for Online Christian Writers (2017), Influence: Building a Platform that Elevates Jesus (Not Me) with Shannon Popkin (2018), The 31-Day Writing Prompt Journal and The Five-Minute Writing Prompt Journal: 52 Prompts to Cultivate Confidence, Consistency, and Creativity (2019).

Her desire is to point readers to the hope found in Jesus and to urge people to long for eternity with Him. Kate also hosts the weekly Five Minute Friday blog link-up, and has contributed to several other publications.
