Kari Patterson

Kari Patterson weaves words together with little ones on her lap and Legos on the floor. She juggles the hats of pastor’s wife, homeschool mom, conference and retreat speaker, women’s Bible study teacher, writer, mentor, counselor, friend, daughter–occasionally dropping them all on her crumb-covered floor. (It’s ok, really.)

In a dust-covered box somewhere, Patterson has a bachelor’s degree in English from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in Women’s Ministry from Multnomah Biblical Seminary. She now serves at Willamette Christian Church in West Linn, Oregon (where her husband works as Associate Pastor) and speaks at women’s retreats, luncheons, conferences, Bible studies and special events.

On her blog, Sacred Mundane, Patterson writes the raw and the real–sometimes triumphant, always transparent–the daily venture of living the sacred in the midst of the mundane. Her writing also appears on the popular blogs (in)courage, Simple Homeschool (a division of Simple Mom), Oregon Women’s Report, and Frugal Living NW. She has self-published a book titled The Road to Santa Clara, the true story of a nightmarish ministry experience, and has co-authored three complete Bible studies for her church. Her life’s passion? A quotidian revolution: Embracing this dirty, dusty, sacred life, living every mundane moment for the glory of God.
