Michelle Van Loon
Michelle is the author of Parablelife: Living the Stories Jesus Told in Real Time (FaithWalk, 2005) and Uprooted: Growing a Parable Life from the Inside Out (FaithWalk, 2006). She is a contributing author to Holy Bible: Mosaic NLT (Tyndale, 2009), Quiet Reflections of Hope: 120 Devotions to Start our Day (Revell, 2009), and Take My Heart, Oh God: Riches from the Greatest Women Writers of All Time (Zondervan, 2010). She has also written three full-length plays, as well as skits and numerous magazine articles. She is also a contributor to Christianity Today's her.meneutics blog. Michelle's commitment to nurturing spiritual growth in others comes through in her writing ministry, as well as through her speaking engagements for women's groups each year at local churches. She also leads a silent retreat for Chicago-area women each spring, and has mentored younger women for over fifteen years.

Michelle has served on the staff of a Milwaukee-area non-denominational church, served as interim Director of Worship Arts at Trinity International University, and is currently the Communications Director for an organization that links over 70 evangelical congregations in the northern suburbs of Chicago. She is also a writing coach to a number of home schooling families across the nation.
