Carla Sunberg

Carla is the author of Faxes from Russia (Beacon Hill 1996), which outlined the opening of the Church of the Nazarene in Russia, as well as numerous articles for such publications as Holiness Today, Grow Magazine, The Point Loma Nazarene University Devotional Book, and Reflecting God Magazine. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in historical theology at the University of Manchester in the UK.

Carla is an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene, and served as a pioneering missionary in the former Soviet Union for thirteen years. During that time as a missionary nurse, she helped to develop non-profit humanitarian centers in six countries, and later directed a program for theological education and training of pastors in the former Soviet Republics.

Carla now serves as a pastor of discipleship at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2009, she was elected president of the Wesleyan Holiness Women Clergy.
