Lyn Vandebrake

Lyn Vandebrake’s work has appeared in Focus on the Family, Homelife, Baptist Press, Alive, Positive Living and other nationally recognized periodicals. For a number of years, Lyn was a missionary on the Navajo reservation where she partnered with mental health professionals writing Christian programs for alcohol and substance abuse/addiction.

Lyn taught Creative Writing – Effective Communication on a college level, also writing the culturally relevant textbook used in her classroom of many different Native American tribes and native church leaders. Lyn has been an editor of a bi-weekly and assistant editor of a Christian monthly.

Lyn’s writing space is an Amish-built she-shed which she shares with her 600-book personal library,  a couple of office cats, and occasionally her donkey, Sugar.
