Carol Tanksley

Dr. Carol Tanksley, better known as Dr. Carol, and sometimes “Doctor Doctor” to her friends, is a licensed medical doctor, Doctor of Ministry, author and speaker. She has practiced medicine for 25 years, and is board certified in Obstetrics-Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology. She has also been involved in training medical students and Ob-Gyn resident physicians. She currently practices locum tenens, covering for other physicians and hospitals, and giving her the flexibility to do more ministry work.

Dr. Carol received her medical degree from Loma Linda University, and Ob-Gyn residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, California. She completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia. While continuing to practice medicine, she also received an M.Div. and a D.Min. degree from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, focusing on Christian leadership. Now Dr Carol Ministries is focused on helping people live Fully Alive in every area of their lives so they can thrive in the way God intended.

Dr. Carol and her husband Al Tanksley together produced the live radio program the Dr. Carol Show until shortly before his death in 2016. Dr. Carol lives in Austin, Texas, where she enjoys being Grandma Carol to four wonderful grandchildren.

Dr. Carol has published scientific articles in journals such as Fertility and Sterility and The American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also the author of Live Healthy, Live Whole (Credo House 2015), Dr. Carol’s Guide to Women’s Health (Charisma House 2016), and Overcoming Fear and Anxiety Through Spiritual Warfare (Charisma House 2017).
