A. L. Rogers

A.L. Rogers is a writer and editor who has worked in the book industry since 2007. He began his career hand-selling books at a local bookstore before moving into a marketing role for a major publisher. In 2013 he made the jump to editorial and has since acquired and edited books by bestselling authors, celebrities, first-timers, children’s book authors, and many others. He has worked for Baker Book House, Our Daily Bread Ministries, and Our Daily Bread Publishers. He currently serves as an editor at HarperCollins Christian Publishing for Zondervan Books.

In addition to editing, he loves to write. His fiction has appeared in Splickety Magazine, Catapult Magazine, on DailyScienceFiction.com, and as the Reader’s Choice Award winner in the Write Michigan Short Story contest. He has written nonfiction for various places on the web, including Christian meditations for Our Daily Journey and The Upper Room. In 2017 he edited a handbook for writers, Jot That Down: Encouraging Essays for New Writers. His newest book, Kids’ Guide to Exploring the Bible, released in the fall of 2021.

He and his wife, Kristen, have two children and live in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area.
